Shrove Tuesday & Mardi Gras on Butler

For thirty years parishioners of St. John’s have prepared for the fasts of Lent by gathering on the Tuesday evening prior to Ash Wednesday for a pancake supper in the parish hall. The celebration, while including many food items that have earned this day the name “Fat Tuesday”, has also become our own little Mardi Gras on Butler, replete with beads and masks and even sometimes a little jazz. Everyone is welcome and the neighborhood is invited.

Our annual Pancake Supper and Mardi Gras on Butler was held in the Parish Hall on Shrove Tuesday, February 28, 2017 with food, music and fellowship. Imagine the fun!
